Storyline

Storyline

         Nirmala lives with her maternal uncle, his wife, and her widowed mom, studies in an Arts College, has a sweetheart in wealthy Rajinder R. Singh, who she plans to marry. Disagreements flare up at home when her aunt wants her to get married to an uneducated villager, Nirmala refuses to marry, instead gets a job at a Sada Bahar Nurtya Vidyalaya, which turns out to be a front for a brothel, landing her in prison. She gets off with a not guilty verdict, but is turned away from home, and the shock kills her mom. She attempts to find work, but is pursued relentlessly by a pimp, Pandit Kedarnath, who wants her for himself. Nirmala ends up as a Governess with none other than Rajinder's mom, where both lovers get married secretly. Rajinder then leaves for Britain, leaving behind a pregnant Nirmala. When the Singhs find out about her pregnancy and the man responsible, they refuse to believe her and throw her out straight into the arms of Kedarnath.

Storyline

       Mohan lives a middle-class life with his ailing mother, and works as a college professor. His mother would like him to get married, but he asks her to be patient as he awaits his probationary period to end at the college. At the college he lectures his students about Vasantsena, the evils of prostitution and his personal hatred of courtesans, who sell their lives for money. Things take a turn for the worse, when his mother suddenly collapses, loses consciousness, and is not expected to live long. The only way he can bring peace to his dying mother is to get married. His neighbor, Jeevan Ram, agrees to find a woman who will pose as a wife for a fee, and introduces him to a woman named Rajni, who is then introduced to his mother. His mother's health improves, and she begins to get better day by day, with Rajni visiting her frequently. His mother is so pleased with Rajni that she even gives her the family jewels.

Storyline

      While driving his car on a rainy night, Anand's car breaks down, and he goes to seek shelter in a nearby house. He is let into the house by the servant, and he is permitted to stay until the rains stop be able to get his car fixed. It is here that he will find out about his previous birth, his true love, Madhumati, their ill-fated, star-crossed and tragic romance, and how events in his previous birth are going to effect him in this life-time.

Storyline

   Based on A.J.Cronin's 'Beyond This Place', this movie narrates the story of an untiring crusade for justice. A young man, learning about his father's wrongful implication in a fifteen-year-old murder, vows to bring the true criminals to justice and release his innocent father from 'kaala paani' (life imprisonment), for which he enlists the help of a press reporter, a retired police inspector and an unwitting prostitute who happens to possess some key evidence.

Storyline

         Jailor Dilip lives a wealthy lifestyle along with his wife, Kamal, and a daughter, Bali. He is disfigured, is compassionate and dedicated to his work, which results in Kamal feeling neglected and ends up in the company of Dr. Ramesh much to Dilip's displeasure, and he instructs her to remain indoors. In retaliation, she elopes with Ramesh, compelling Dilip to inform Bali that her mother has passed away. The couple are blacklisted in the community and then end up in a vehicular accident, resulting in Ramesh losing his sight and Kamal with a discoloration on her right cheek. Dilip finds out, brings her home, and keeps her under lock and key and prevents her from seeing Bali. His attitude changes towards everyone, and he becomes oppressive and tyrannical. Watch what happens when Bali comes to know that her mother is still alive and insists on seeing her.

Storyline

           Rakesh lives with his brother, Madan, and his dad in Rangoon. Madan has fallen into bad company and steals the family heirloom, in the shape of a dragon, some cash and runs away to India. Shortly thereafter, his dead body is found under Calcutta's Howrah Bridge. Rakesh travels to Calcutta in order to find out the mystery behind Madan's death, and also try to recover the family heirloom. His investigations take him to a shady hotel run by Uncle Joe, where an attractive dancer named Edna performs a dance every night. Rakesh finds himself attracted to Edna, and he confides in her why he is here and she decides to assist him. Rakesh comes to know that a man named Bhiku had witnessed his brother's murder, and sets off to find him. Before he could meet him, Bhiku goes missing and no one knows about his whereabouts. Watch what Rakesh does next in order to solve this mystery, recover the heirloom, continue to woo Edna, and catch his brother's killers.

Storyline

      The Sharma brothers consist of former boxer, Brijmohan; Jagmohan, an Electrical Engineer; and Manmohan, a Mechanic. The brothers operate a garage under the name of 'Mohan Brothers' in Bombay. Brijmohan hates all women and does not permit even a poster to be hung on the walls of either the garage or their residence as well as instructs his brothers not to get involved with them. While working the late shift, Manmohan assists a customer, Renu, and both rather dramatically fall in love. Subsequently, Jagmohan meets with Renu's friend, Sheila, and both are attracted to each other. Unable to face the wrath of their brother, both conceal this information from him. Then the duo find out that their brother hides a woman's photograph under his pillow, but when confronted, refuses to divulge any information to them. Things will change rapidly when Manmohan finds out Renu's father, Kishinchand, has made arrangements for his daughter's to wed Prakashchand, the son of Raja Hardayal Singh.

Storyline

Storyline

       Jaggannath maintains his silence after being found guilty and about to be sentenced for the murder of Roshanlal Sharma under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. It is then his brother, Rajkumar, appeals to the Judge to hear their story, and the duo recollect their lives as homeless orphans, how circumstances separate them, and both turn to a life of crime. While Rajkumar gets arrested on a number of occasions and serves time behind bars, Jaggannath is married, ostensibly lives a honest life, but is a gangster in reality. Rajkumar masquerades as Raj Kapoor, meets with heiress, Madhu Sharma, and both fall in love - much to the chagrin of her uncle - who has already arranged her marriage elsewhere. Fate will then unite the unknowing brothers, pit them against each other, and Madhu will shun Rajkumar, while Jaggannath's expectant wife will get a rude awakening when she is told about her husband's criminal background.

Storyline

        Meena Khosla has an bicycle accident with fellow collegian Mahesh Kapoor, and after a few misunderstandings both fall in love with each other. They would like to get married, plan accordingly, and get intimate. When Mahesh's dad summons him home to get married, Mahesh initially refuses, but subsequently gives in, and gets married to Malti Rai. In the meantime, a pregnant Meena is thrown out of the house by her uncle and aunt, gives birth to baby boy, and abandons the child in a forest. The child is found by a kind-hearted devout Muslim, Abdul Rashid, who decides to adopt him, much to the charging of the Hindu and the Muslim communities. Abdul re-locates to the city, but is unable to shake the stigma of bringing up an illegitimate child, Roshan, who is subjected to all kinds of taunts by fellow classmates. Roshan then stops going to school, meets with Jaggu, a petty thief, who befriends him and introduces him to a life of crime.

Storyline

          Raj Kumar is an honest, handsome and intelligent young man to boot. He works as a sole Trader therefore a painter by trade, but unable to earn a living, and unable to pay rent to his kind-hearted but talkative landlady, Mrs. D'sa. One day Raj finds a wallet containing money, and he returns it to the owner, Ramnath. Ramnath admires Raj and pleased with his honesty employs him to work in his office as a Receptionist. Raj meets with Ramnath's maidservant, Asha, and soon both fall in love. This all ends when Raj finds out that Asha is really Aarti, the daughter of his employer. He then alienates himself from his employer and his daughter, and looks after his ailing landlady by cooking and serving her daily meals. Unfortunately, she passes away suddenly. The police conduct a post-mortem, and as a result find out that Mrs. D'sa was poisoned. Raj became the prime suspect and is subsequently taken for questioning, and is arrested and held in a cell.
