Meenakshi Iyer comes from a devout Hindu Brahmin family, purely vegetarian, who not only abstain from meat, but also food from restaurants, is the only child, married to Subramaniam Iyer from Tamil Nadu, has just given birth to a young son, Santhanam, and is visiting her mom. It is then they receive news that her mother-in-law is ill and wants Meenakshi back home in Calcutta. The parents arrange to drop her and her son off at the bus-stand, where they are introduced to a young photographer named Raja Chowdhury. Meenakshi's parents ask Raja to look after her, to which he agrees. The bus starts off, taking it's passengers through scenic hillside. The bus driver comes across a sign that the regular road is closed and he decides to take another route. After a few hours the bus comes to a stop as there is a line-up of vehicles ahead. The passengers are told that there has been a terrorist attack on a train resulting in the death of about 200 people.
Gautham (Mahesh Babu) is in search of the identity of his parents who were killed. He faces a psychological disorder which makes the search even more difficult. taking support of sameera(Kriti ) and figuring out ways to get to know what happened in the past makes the story.
Relangi Mavayya (Prakash Raj) is a gentleman from a small village Relangi and he believes in human values and relationships. He has two sons Peddodu aka Mallikharjuna Rao (Venkatesh) and Chinnodu aka Seetha Rama Raju (Mahesh Babu). Peddodu is an emotional guy and his maradalu Seetha (Anjali) is in love with him since her childhood. Whereas Mahesh Babu is a witty and charming young man and he falls in love with Geetha (Samantha), the daughter of Rao Ramesh. But Rao Ramesh ridicules Prakash Raj for his low wealth and this strains the relationships between both brothers. In the end Seetha's marries Peddodu, Geetha's marriage is planned with Chinnodu and Geetha's father apologizes to Relangi Mavayya.
Sanjay Sahu (Pawan Kalyan) is a happy-go-lucky type youth. Bhagyamati (Ileana) falls in love with him and Sanjay accepts her proposal after waiting for a while.
Pandu is a killer for hire, and will accept any contract provided the amount is right. The Police want him for questioning, while the underworld needs him to silence their opponents. No one really knows this assassin's background. It is only Pandu who knows his real identity and he has no intention of sharing it with anyone.
To receive a sympathy vote, a crooked politician plans his own assassination attempt. Nandu is hired to merely wound the politician, but someone else pulls the trigger first. Framed for murder, Nandu flees and meets Pardhu, a man returning home after a long absence. The young man is killed in the police crossfire meant for Nandu.
Siddharth and his friends rescue a village in Warangal from severe floods. Sidhartha is convinced that Govt will give some relief package to the flood effected. Some time later he realizes that Pappu Yadav hogged on the relief fund before it reached the effected. Pappu Yadav is now contesting in elections and Sidhu goes against him with his friend. The fight between the two starts on from then on. After a few twists, Sidhartha kidnaps the fiancee of Pappu Yadav, Varalaxmi. Siddharth is now hunted by both police and villains.
Arjun is a young man who will always defend his family, even at the risk of his own life. As Arjun and his twin sister Meenakshi are finishing their college education, Meenakshi reveals that she and classmate Uday have expressed their love for each other. When Meenakshi becomes the target of her murderous in-laws, Arjun is forced to take up the machete and go to battle.
The main drama is set in Hyderabad. For this purpose, a huge and expensive set against Charminar backdrop was erected. Hero Ajay (Mahesh Babu) lives in one of the houses there. He has his own entry into the house, through a trap door, to avoid being noticed by his disciplinarian police officer father (Mukhesh Rishi) and mischievous younger sister (Niharika). His mother (Geetha) is kind and affectionate. Ajay is a kabaddi champion and goes to Kurnool to take part in a tournament. He meets Swapna (Bhoomika Chawla) and rescues her from the clutches of Obul Reddy (Prakash Raj). He then brings her to Hyderabad and takes her to his room through the trap door. And she continues to stay there without anyone's knowledge, blending among the many dolls in his room whenever anyone comes visiting Ajay. Ajay's priorities now are to get a passport and visa for Swapna so that she can move away to the US and then to win the national Kabaddi title for his team.
Eddy (Jayaprakash Reddy) is a powerful mafia leader whose right hand is Devudu (Gopichand). Devudu has a lover called Malli (Raasi). Reddy - who also like Malli - takes her to the bed, which is not liked by Devudu. In the process, Devudu kills Reddy and he becomes the leader of the mafia gang. Venkateswarlu (Ranganath) is a fire officer. In an incident, Devudu sets a market place afire and Venkateswarlu rescues it with his fire fighting and at the same time Venkateswarlu slaps Devudu, as he continues throwing kerosene at the market place. Devudu holds grudge against Venkateswarlu and sends him to jail on a framed charge of murder. Seetaram (Mahesh Babu) who is the son of Venkateswarlu tries to rescue his father from the jaws of police. But in the process, everybody starts asking him for money to do the work. At the end of the day, the police officer kills Venkateswarlu.
