Storyline

Mocking at religion, flirting with women, in debt with a number of shop-keepers, Raju lives an impoverished lifestyle, and is in love with Lachhi, whose blind Nani does not approve of him. When he finds out that Nani's landlord, Kalwa, is threatening to evict them unless she comes up with Rs.5000/-, he first attempts to borrow money. Failing in this, he steals it from Rana and goes on the run from the police. He boards a train without a ticket and enters a compartment which has a single occupant, Swami Satyanand, who looks exactly like him. The train has an accident, he takes advantage of this situation, dons the Swami's guise, and subsequently manages to pull wool over the latter's devotees - with an agenda of collecting as much cash as possible. He is not aware that Swami has survived the accident, and is being held against his will by Lachhi - and it will not be too long before Raju's past will catch up with him - and he will have to answer for his crimes.

Storyline

Jeevanlal lives in a small village in India with his wife, Sita, a son, Dharmchand and daughter, Meena, and makes a living by stealing. One day he steals from the Tehsildar's home, returns to his home and hides the stolen property with his son. When the police arrive, Dharma hands over the stolen articles to them, they arrest Jeevanlal, he is found guilty, and sent to prison. Years later, Dharma has grown up but his dad hates him. Then one day both father and son get into a fight over selling the cow, Jeevanlal strikes his son, and Dharma takes a stick to defend himself. Sita intervenes, scolds Dharma for daring to attack his father, and asks him to leave. Dharma leaves home, goes to Bombay, finds work with a building contractor, earns money and sends his savings to his mother. Then one day Sita receives a letter from Dharma that he is returning home. She goes to the bus-stand to greet him, but is told that he is already gone home.

Storyline

Professor Brij Mohan Agnihotri is a confirmed bachelor. Period. No amount of pleading or even begging him to get married, has had no effect on him whatsoever. His reputation gets around, and he gets a young man named Rajesh, to wishes make him his mentor, to which Brij agrees. On a visit to his friend out of town, Brij meets with his beautiful daughter, Punam, and falls head over heels in love with her. Throwing all caution to the winds, he changes his appearance, and attempts to woe Punam, only to find that Punam is attracted to his student, Rajesh. Now the professor has to decide whether to get rid of his pupil altogether, or to reverse their roles and make him his mentor.
