Storyline

    Vijay is the son of a line of temple sculptors who has not touched his craft since he became a young man. After meeting a girl, Vidya, while giving a tour of the monuments, his heart is enraptured by her image and this inspires a return to his sculpting. Unfortunately, her mother has been preparing her with dancing lessons in order to sell Vidya's life and virginity to a rich man who will take both of them into his palace to keep this girl as a part of his collection of pleasures. When the day comes for this decision to be revealed, Vidya escapes from home into the arms of Vijay. Although Vijay's father is hostile toward meddling with these matters and has no confidence that Vidya could tolerate their lifestyle of poverty, Vijay is able to marry her with the help of the kindly and sympathetic "Uncle".

Storyline

        Chanda lives a wealthy lifestyle in Jaipur along with her father, Thakur Dharam Singh, and mom. Since she is of marriageable age, her dad wants her to get married to a wealthy male of his choice, but she dislikes him. Arguments ensue at home and her dad slaps her, she falls down and passes out. When she regains her senses she finds herself in a hospital in Bombay with her dad at her bedside, who tells her that she was unconscious for 3 days, apologizes and promises never to pressurize her to get married. She forgives him and they return home. A few days later she gets a visitor, a male Akashwani singer by the name of Raj Kumar, who claims to be her husband, calls her by the name of Rekha, and wants her to accompany him back to Bombay where he lives in a Chawl along with a two-bit Bollywood actor, Bansi. The question remains who is this male, and why is he claiming to be Chanda's husband?

Storyline

          When Aryaputra Samant Bijgupt ignores Yashodhara and continues to frequent Rajnartaki Chitralekha, Yashodhara's father, Mrityunjay, approaches celibate Yogi Kumargiri, who reprimands Chitralekha and asks her to free Bijgupt so that he can marry and sire a heir. She initially refuses, but subsequently decides to abandon her lavish lifestyle, and re-locates to the Ashram of Kumargiri and his male disciples, leaving a disillusioned Bijgupt no choice but to accede to the request of Samrat Chandragupt and marry Yashodhara.

Storyline

Storyline

      Neena, in the company of her mom, and several female friends, travels to a remote holiday spot, and stay overnight at a lodge. A young man named Kumar also attends at this lodge, claiming to be the owner, and asking the caretaker, Shyam, to get rid of the intruders. Shyam assures Kumar that he will do so immediately. Instead of asking them to leave, he tells the visitors that Kumar is mentally unstable, and believes that he owns this lodge. After several misunderstandings, Kumar and Neena fall in love, and want to get married. And it is then Neena and her mother are come across photographs of Kumar and a young woman named Kamo alias Kamini, in very intimate positions.

Storyline

     Devdutt Anand works in a company selling musical instruments, and is always late for work, infuriating his boss, I.S. Johar. Things change for the better when Johar finds out that Devdutt has a talent for writing poems, and he gets Devdutt to write and even gets them published for him. This gets Devdutt into the limelight and increases sales for Johar's business. While traveling home by BEST bus, he meets with Nanda, who has come to live in his neighborhood, and both are attracted to each other. One night Devdutt comes to the assistance to Bollywood movie actress Kalpana when her car breaks down, she finds out he is a poet and arranges a meeting with him, again both are attracted to each other. Devdutt is asked to deliver a piano to the palatial house of a wealthy woman named Simi alias Radha Rani. She too is impressed by Devutt's poems and invites him over to her house for a party, and again both are attracted to each other.

Storyline

   After dancing together in a night club, seven young people (five men and two women) are told they have won the night's dance contest and are instructed to board a small plane that will take them to their prize holiday. Instead, they end up stranded on a small island with one of the plane's co-pilots. In search of shelter, the eight go to a mansion where they meet a sinister-looking butler who announces that he knows all them and has been expecting their arrival. Storyline

  After being released from prison for Forgery and Theft, Multi-linguist Raju (Dev Anand) reflects on his life as a Guide; his meeting with the daughter of a prostitute, Rosie (Waheeda Rehman), who was unhappily married to Marco (Kishore Sahu), and wants to take up acting and dancing as a career. Rosie separates and moves in with Raju and his mom (Leela Chitnis). Then both re-locate, and with Raju's encouragement, she succeeds in an acting and dancing career, resulting in both becoming very wealthy. He then succumbs to gambling, and alcohol, and forges Rosie's signature. He is arrested, tried in court, found guilty and imprisoned. Now discharged from prison, he changes his mind about returning home to his mother, and decides to go elsewhere and start afresh - a decision that will alter his life and way of thinking forever.

Storyline

   After nearly getting arrested, Hiraman promises to himself that he will never assist any black-marketeer nor transport bamboo. This incident does cost him his bullock-cart but he did manage to get his two oxen away in time. He manages to save enough money to buy another cart, and is hired to take a female on a 30-hour ride to a Mela. He subsequently finds that his passenger is an attractive woman, Hira Bai, and he falls in love with her - little knowing that she is a traveling courtesan - and it is this attraction that will get him into a physical altercation as well as in the bad books of Thakur Vikram Singh.

Storyline

             Circumstances have made Shaka a career criminal. When plague empties a town of its inhabitants, he takes the opportunity to burgle a house. He finds nothing except Shanti, a widowed daughter-in-law who has been left to die by her cruel relatives. Shaka nurses her back to health. When her relatives return they are not pleased to find her alive and even less pleased to discover that someone has tried to rob them. Shanti gets the blame and a beating. Shaka saves her from worse, at the hands of brother-in-law, and the pair flee. They set up home in Shaka's house, much to the displeasure of the respectable neighbours who are all too ready to think the worst. Shanti's relatives are dismayed when a lawyer arrives to announce that Shanti has been left a legacy. They hatch a plot to get her back. Meanwhile, Shaka's rehabilitation is proceeding - much to the chagrin of his former criminal associates. Fire and redemption for some, death and handcuffs for others is what fate has in store.

Storyline

       Lawyer Rakesh Singh is devastated when his wife, Geeta, passes away after a brief illness. After the funeral Rakesh can think of nothing but her, and this leads him to depression. To confound this, Inspector Daljit informs him that a thug named Sunaina, who has been recently apprehended by the police alongwith members of her gang, claims that she is Geeta, Rakesh is astounded at this and goes to meet this woman, who does indeed resemble his wife. Rakesh, however, does not believe that she is his wife, as he himself had cremated her with his own hands. But this woman is adamant, the matter goes to court, which must find out whether this woman is really Geeta or an imposter, before trying her for her crimes.

Storyline

In desperation, her father gets her married to a much older man, who is also alcoholic and frequents courtesans. Deviyani gets pregnant and gives birth to a baby girl, Suparna. Unhappy with her marriage and her circumstances, she runs away. She approaches a nun, Mother Mary, in a monastery and leaves Suparna in her care and disappears forever. When Monish returns he runs into Deviyani, but is told that the person he has seen is a Lucknow based prostitute, Pannabai. Is Deviyani still alive? Who is Pannabai? What happened to Suparna?

Storyline

       Gayetridevi sends her son, Ashok to get her grandson from Japan. Gayetridevi had an elder son, who married a girl of Japanese origin without her blessings. She wants Ashok to get married to Sarita, but Ashok does not show any interest in Sarita. In Japan, Ashok meets with Asha and both fall in love. Asha's uncle wants Asha to marry Pran, but Asha does not like Pran and runs away with Ashok. Pran runs down Ashok with his car, and Ashok is hospitalized and may lose his eye-sight. Gayetridevi will soon find out which of the two girls - Asha - who she does not approve of - or Sarita, will take of her blind son.
