The Nanda family based in Milan,Italy is a very powerful family with a huge business empire. Raghunanda(Boman Irani), his son(Mukesh Rishi)and his grandson Gautam Nanda(Pawan Kalyan) manage their billion dollar business.Raghunanda asks his grandson to fulfil his wish of reuniting him(Raghunanda) with her daughter.In the past, she is asked to get out of the house for having married a pleader without their family's consent which leads to a heated and a shocking thing ,which is later revealed in the film. Gautam promises his grandfather that he would reunite him with his estranged daughter Sunanda(Nadiya) ,who lives far away from them in Hyderabad, he decides to travel to India and bring her back. But as he reaches Hyderabad , he come to know that his uncle(Rao Ramesh)is at the airport who returns back to Hyderabad from Chennai.His uncle in fact has a stroke while driving back and Gautam takes him to a hospital and saves his life. In the hospital he sees his aunt for the first time.

Renu lives a poor lifestyle with her mom, dad and a brother. Her dad decides to travel to Africa so that he can earn enough money to send his son to study engineering, so that he can find employment abroad. But fate has other plans when one day Renu's brother returns home sick from college, and shortly thereafter passes away. His shocked father books a seat on a plane to attend his son's funeral, but the plane crashes killing everyone on board. Shattered and devastated, Renu decides to hide her dad's death from her ill and fragile mom, and goes along pretending that her father is still alive. She obtains employment and through her earnings convinces her mom that her dad is regularly sending money. Then things brighten up when a homeless young man, Anand, enters her life, both fall in love with each other and want to get married.

Momil Kamil Kasaab takes over a boat in the Indian Ocean, slays the owner, and he, along with 7 heavily armed men, land on a beach in Mumbai, India. They subsequently form groups of two, and launch terrorist attacks on an unsuspecting city and its' residents. The first explosion takes place in a taxi-cab that was on its way to the airport, followed closely by numerous people getting killed in the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminal, as well as in Colaba, and two restaurants. Police, unprepared and taken by surprise, swing into action, and manage to arrest Kasaab, while numerous officers are killed trying to subdue his associates. The investigating officer starts to question an uncooperative and unrepentant suspect - who refuses to divulge any information - and believes that he is on a mission of Jihaad - while the victims and their families, many of them of the Muslim faith, attempt to deal with their respective losses.
