Storyline

           Roopa lives in a chawl in a slum with her alcoholic paternal uncle, who sits at home and forces her to go out to work, earn and buy alcohol for him. Her outlook on life is close to despair, and when she finds no work, earns no money, she is severely beaten by him and thrown out of the room. On one such occasion, a neighbor named Raj comes to her aid and even loans her some money. But that only lasts for a short while, and she is back to square one again. She decides to kill herself, but is rescued by an artiste named Ashok, who asks her to model for him. Soon they become fast friends, she even moves into his palatial home, and both earn quite a bit of money from selling the paintings. Then one day Raj re-enters her life, and it was as though her past had come to re-visit. She longed to be with Raj. Ashok is unhappy because of the competition, as he is in love with Roopa and would like to marry her.

Storyline

        Mahender has been responsible for the upbringing of Tomato, a young child at a very early age. Now Mahender's health is getting worse, and he is afraid his ill-health may be contagious and may endanger Tomato. So Mahender decides to leave Tomato in the park near Kamal Roy, and instructs Tomato to call Kamal his dad. Tomato does so, and this results in utter chaos in the life of Kamal. He is unable to convince his lady love Usha Sen that the child is not his; and additionally Kamal is under pressure from his dad and mom to get married. Kamal begs Tomato to leave him, but Tomato refuses to do so. How will this impact on Kamal's life and relationships?

Storyline

          A singer and dancer par excellence, Lata lives a wealthy lifestyle with her dad, Choudhry Goverdhanlal Patwardhanlal and mom. Her parents would like her to get married to wealthy Shekhar, who she initially approves of. Shortly thereafter she meets with Vasant Kumar and both fall in love with each other. When Shekhar finds out that Lata does not want to marry him, he is enraged and starts to investigate Vasant's background. He finds out that Vasant's real name is Ashok, who is a writer for a magazine 'Bahar, has a relationship with a woman, and also has a son. Watch what happens when Lata and her family are provided with this information and the manner in which they react to this news.

Storyline

     This is the story of two widower fathers in Madhopur. The second dad is Jamnadas, the father of Usha, who lives a wealthy lifestyle in a mansion. He would like her to get married to Vinod, the son of Ganga Prasad, but Usha is in love with Ashok. Who will Ashok marry?

Storyline

              Madan comes from a poor family background. Unable to find employment, he takes to gambling in a big way. He makes a lot of money, and decides to open a gambling den, where he makes even more money. He meets with sophisticated and cultured Dr. Rajani, and both are attracted to each other. But Rajani's dad does not approve of Madan nor of his background, and would prefer that Rajani marry Inspector Ramesh. Rejected, Madan meets with vivacious and outgoing Meena, and romances her. Then Inspector Ramesh arrests Madan and imprisons him for the murder of Meena, who was killed with a revolver with Madan's fingerprints on it.

Storyline

    Beautiful Radha lives in a small hill-station in India. One day, Mahesh comes for sight-seeing, both meet, fall in love with each other, get intimate, and Mahesh promises to return, marry her and take her with him to live in Bombay. He does not return, Radha continues to search for him in every train that stops at Shampur, in vain. She eventually gives birth to a baby girl, Laxmi, and both are looked after by Shampur's kind-hearted Station Master. Radha does come across Mahesh, but he refuses to recognize her, and she kills herself. The Station Master takes Laxmi to her next of kin, in all two families, but all reject Laxmi, consider her inauspicious, and will have nothing to do with her. He leaves Laxmi with her maternal grand-parent, Bhagwanti and her husband, but Laxmi is abused and she runs away to Bombay, where she is befriended and looked after by a blind beggar, Anwar.

But as unexpectedly as she had come into his life, just as unexpectedly, she vanishes one night. He is despondent. Then one night at a party, he meets her again, but she refuses to recognize him.
