Storyline

          Lucknow-based Nawabzada Aslam lives a wealthy lifestyle along with his dad, Bakar, and mom. He writes poems under the pen name of Raj Lakhnavi, and is a close friend of Iqbal. One day he meets and falls in love with Salma Banarsi, a Banaras-based Courtesan. When his parents arrange his marriage with his foreign-returned cousin, Mumtaz, he informs them that he loves Salma and incurs their displeasure so much so that his dad shoots him, and he gets hospitalized. When he recovers fully he is shocked to find that Salma has not only accepted Iqbal as her lover, but has also taken a lot of money and jewelry from his mother. He takes to alcohol in a big way and swears to exact vengeance against Salma by getting married to Mumtaz and forcing Salma to sing and dance at his wedding.

Storyline

       Unsuccessful film-maker (Vijay Arora) chronicles the story of two orphaned children, Shibu (Ashwani), and his elder sister, Rani (Gayetri Sharma), who live with their abusive maternal uncle (Sadhu Meher), and aunt (Mala Jaggi). Things take a turn for the better when Shibu befriends an albino elephant in the nearby forest, and through this elephant, named Airawat, finds a pot full of gold coins. Unfortunately, the uncle and his wife come to know of this, and inform the Emperor (Shatrughan Sinha), who undertakes to capture the elephant at any cost, leaving the uncle and aunt to keep the gold coins for themselves.

Storyline

       Generous and honest to a fault, multi-millionaire Amit Rai is always ready to lend a helping hand to the needy, even his business associates. His employee and close friend, Nekiram, warns him against doing this, but in vain. Then hard times visit him and his family, and he loses all his wealth and money, even his palatial home and items therein are to be auctioned. All the people he had helped, his business associates, etc. even his fiancee, Sunita, abandons him. Penniless, homeless, and with a widowed mother, and an unwed sister, he re-locates near a seashore community, to begin life anew as a fisherman. It is there he finds out that his financial ruin did not take place by chance, but it was a deliberate and deceptive plot to rid him of his riches.

Storyline

          Asha lives a poor lifestyle along with her widowed dad, is in love with aspiring doctor Raj Kumar, and hopes to marry him someday. When Raj announces that he is traveling abroad to study, she decides to wait for him, but her father, on his deathbed, makes her promise to marry Simla-based Gopal Chopra, who is the son of his friend, Shyamlal, to which Asha agrees. The marriage takes place and soon they become parents of three daughters, Basanti - a tomboy, who excels in self-defense; Barkha an aspiring dancer, and Bulbul who wants to be a professional piano player and is on medication as she has a hole in her heart. Gopal gets a promotion and re-locates to Bombay but continues to remain in touch with his family. Then the past is re-visited when Raj, now a doctor, comes to live in their neighborhood. He meets with Asha, and decides to teach Bulbul piano lessons, while his brother, Advocate Anand, romances Basanti.

Storyline

    Raja lives an upper middle-classed lifestyle in Bombay along with his sister, Laaj, and runs an audio store 'Musicals'. He is a close friend of Ashok, who lives a wealthy lifestyle in Worli Seaface along with his widower dad, Shankarlal and grandfather. Both friends get together and arrange Laaj's marriage with an orphan, Ravi. Relations between the two become tense when both fall in love with Madhu Sinha, the daughter of Ishwarprasad, Shankarlal's estranged childhood friend, but are resolved after Ashok finds out that Madhu really loves Raja. Ishwarprasad arranges their marriage, but before that could take place, Ravi disappears, Laaj is devastated, and Raja takes to alcohol, refuses to marry Madhu, and hides a terrible secret that he cannot disclose to anyone.
