Storyline

          Samir Sahni is a farmer living with his mom, dad, wife, Rama, a young daughter, and his younger brother, Veer. Samir gets an offer to work in the U.K., and departs accordingly. He would like to settle there, and after doing so, would like his family to also join him. The years go by, and Samir keeps in touch with his family regularly. Then the Sahni family stop receiving any letters from him, and are anxious to know what has happened to him. Veer is asked to travel to U.K. to find out, and he does so. What he finds are tens of thousands of East Indians on fake passports, working for less than minimum wages, poor unhealthy conditions, fear of being deported, and paying half of their earnings to fellow East Indians who had got them here through the underground. Veer finds no sign of his brother, and sets out to investigate, only to find deceit, murder, and his very own life in danger.

Storyline

        Ram Kumar Verma is an honest albeit unsuccessful Insurance Agent. His poor performance and a quick settlement for Renu and her mom gets him transferred to Madhya Pradesh. During the train journey he comes across Nathu Singh, and thinking that Nathu is an emperor of sorts, gets him to insure himself for Rs.5 lakhs, to which Nathu Singh agrees. Ram Verma returns to his company and is heartily congratulated by his Manager and the General Manager even throws a party for Ram. Subsequently, the Manager realizes that the person Ram has insured is actually a wanted dacait and thug commonly known as Daku Nathiya, wanted by the police dead or alive. Fearing the collapse of the insurance company, the Manager coerces Ram to return to Madhya Pradesh and get Nathiya to cancel his insurance policy.

Storyline

      In order to take over the kingdom, Shamsher Singh and Nahar Singh kill Yuvraj Gopal Singh and his wife, Roopa. The news of these deaths shocks the Maharaj who becomes seriously ill, but instead of treating him, the duo, with the help of the Hakim, poison him. They also believe that the heirs of this Kingdom, two young boys, Bada and Chhota Kumar, are also dead - paving the way for Shamsher to crown himself king. Years later Shamsher is still king, and has a daughter, Sunita, who he wants to get married to Kunver Ranjit Narayan Singh of Kishanganj. Shamsher does not know that the Bada and Chhota Kumars are still alive, while Shakti was taken in by a tribe of gypsies, Amar lives with his palace nanny, Leela, and believes she is his mother.

Storyline

      Ashok is unable to find employment and is in desperate need of Rs.15000/- to cure his blind sister, Roopa. He then finds employment with wealthy Sarojini Devi who asks him to subdue her out-of-control grand-daughters, Asha, Manju and Anju. He sets about to do so with considerable success but in the process falls in love with Asha. This does not auger well with Sarojini, who fires him, and sets about to get Asha married to London-based Pran. Ashok returns home and finds Roopa missing. Shortly thereafter he finds evidence that she may have killed herself. The only clue he has is a license plate number - and he sets about to trace it - not knowing that the person/s he is looking for is already aware of this agenda - and has/have set up an elaborate web of deceit to entrap him.

Storyline

  Widower Amar is well-off financially, and lives in a house with his daughter, and servant Dayal. His sister and brother-in-law want him to marry again, so that his daughter can have the love and care of a woman. Amar reluctantly agrees. Together they set out to check out two sisters, Shobha, and Sheela. Amar goes as Dayal, and Dayal goes as Amar, as Amar is not sure if a step-mother will be able to bestow care and love as a real mother. They arrive at the household of Durga, Shanti Swarup, Renu, Sheela, and their servant Geeta. They begin to settle down, Dayal in a spacious room, and Amar in the servant's quarters, which consists of an untidy room with no electricity. It is not long before Amar finds out that he is attracted to Geeta, and not to the two sisters, but in his present state, he cannot reveal himself, and openly propose marriage. In the meantime, Durga starts getting suspicious about Amar, and starts wondering if Amar is actually a servant or a crook.

Storyline

   Amar and Mansi meet through their respective families and have an arranged marriage. Amar, a book-keeper, is very thrifty, intends to save money so that they can buy their very own flat, and both to live as frugally as possible. Mansi soon gives birth to a baby boy, Bablu. Then Sapna joins Amar's firm and is asked to sit in this room, as her youth and beauty has led to distraction in the workplace. Amar reluctantly agrees to share his room with her, and is soon drawn toward her and they often go out together after work. Sapna would like to marry Amar, and asks him to tell his wife, so that the couple can separate. Amar does so, and Mansi agrees to separate on the condition that he introduces Sapna to her, and Amar agrees to do so. Watch how a pensive Mansi goes through the rest of the day - which may well culminate in her losing out to a much younger and attractive woman - a day that may change her life forever.

Storyline

         Rosie Perreira is an overly anxious widow, living with her guitar-obsessed son, Sabhi, and a lovely daughter, Nancy, who she would like to get married to a wealthy young man. Her helpful neighbor, Tom, introduces a young eligible Tony Braganza to Nancy in the 9:10 AM Western Railway local train from Bandra to Churchgate. Tom also asks Nancy to introduce Tony to Rosie, which she does. Rosie is initially apprehensive about him as he only drawing a mere Rs.300/ compared to Nancy's Rs.700/-, but soon changes her mind when she finds out that after his probationary period he will draw a monthly pay of Rs.1000/-. Nancy and Tom are permitted to meet and both eventually fall in love. While Nancy wants to follow her mother's directions and get married, Tony is hesitant, and this is what costs him Nancy's love, as she starts to feel that he will not come through with the marriage. And soon Rosie starts looking elsewhere for a son-in-law, while Tony is still reluctant to make any commitments.

Storyline

           The second wife of kind-hearted,and generous Amirchand Bhargav is Durgadevi Bhargav (Nadira), who is exactly the opposite of her late husband. She rules over her household, alongwith her brother, Makhanlal (Madan Puri), with an iron hand, and also over her step-daughter, Shanti (Vidya Sinha), who she treats worse than her servants. Due to her brutality, there is always a dearth of servants in her household, and hence most of the work must be done by Shanti. Her other daughter is Roopa (Moushumi Chatterjee), is bad-tempered and spoiled. When a former employee of Amirchand, Ratanlal (Shreeram Lagoo) approaches Durgadevi for marrying her two sons to her two daughters, she humiliates him and turns him away. Unperturbed by this, he asks the assistance of his two sons, Ram (Sanjeev Kumar) and Laxman (Shashi Kapoor), so that the marriages can take place, and at the same time Durgadevi and Makhanlal be taught a lesson.

Storyline

     Indian Air Force pilot Bhagat lives with his wife, Raksha, and a young son. While going to the bank one day, the family find that the bank is being held up. The bank-robbers panic at the arrival of the police, and fire randomly killing Raksha instantly. Bhagat witnesses this horrific spectacle and is unable to do anything to save his wife. The robbers were masked, but one of them had a tear in his shoe, and another was wearing a locket, very similar to the worn by his wife. Bhagat's inquiries take him to the Northern-most hilly regions of India, where he must confront the past, as well as seek out the elusive killers and bring them to justice, not knowing that in so doing he will be endangering the life of his son.

    Nirmala Gupta runs her household and family in a very strict and authoritarian manner. While most of her family resent this, they do obey her and carry out her instructions, so as to be on her good side. Things start to change after her second son gets married to Anju. Manju, Anju's sister, comes over to stay for a few days with the Gupta family, and is accepted by everyone except Nirmala. Nirmala's third son intends to marry Manju. But Manju does not like the manner in which his mom bosses everyone along, and feels some changes are needed in the Gupta household.

Love Story 1981

Storyline

              The story revolves around an old man, chachaji in search of a home after his house is repossesed by the village money-lender, and his young daughter, Kusum. Ramprasad is a poor young man in the employ of Bhavani Shankar a superstitious, middle aged widower. Ramprasad succeeds in securing a victory for Bhavani Shankar in a long running court case, which gives back Bhavani Shankar's family the possession of an ancestral house. When Ramprasad is assigned the responsibility of getting the house back in shape so that it can be re-occupied, chachaji and Kusum arrive there. When this comes to the knowledge of the estate manager, Gajanan Babu, he arrives furious and determined to oust the usurpers. However, he succumbs to the charms of Kusum and instead of ousting the old man and his daughter, presents a proposal of marriage. Horrified, Kusum and Ramprasad turn to Babua for help. He, in turn, is captivated by Kusum's beauty and presses his suit.
